Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on PC in 4K 60 fps is now possible, but only with an RTX 4090

It’s only been a month since the release of the last Zelda installment, but The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom already running exceptionally well on PC in native 4Kwith a framerate greater than 60 frames per second.

An important reminder: as is always the case with emulated games, you must own a legal copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in order to emulate it via Yuzu or Ryujinx. With that out of the way, it’s time to take a look at this latest development.

Over the past few weeks, popular emulators Yuzu and Ryujinx, have greatly improved the visual performance of emulated Tears of the Kingdom on PC. Interestingly, some clever modders have managed to get Nintendo’s latest Zelda running on PC even before its worldwide release.

Just over a month later, with the recent dynamic FPS mods published for Ryujinx and Yuzu, the game runs at over 60 frames per second in native 4K resolution on a graphics card NVIDIA RTX 4090. While the game ran at 30 frames per second in 900p/720p resolution on Nintendo’s hybrid platform, emulation on PC represents a significant improvement.

As mentioned above, youtuber NoBigDeal is running the game on a war machine, especially in terms of CPU, with the best intel processor, a i9-13900K and the best graphics card of the moment with a RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X from MSI.
