The Nintendo Direct has just come to a close, and we round up the Japanese brand’s announcements of new releases for its aging Switch console. On the program: DLC, new games and remakes.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC The Nintendo Direct begins with 2 DLCs for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, scheduled for Fall and Winter 2023.
Sonic Superstar Previously announced, Sonic Superstar is an updated 2D version of the hedgehog’s adventures, available this autumn. You’ll be able to play as Sonic and all his friends.
Palia Palia is a free-to-play simulation that lets you build your own house, take part in activities with other players and more.
Persona 5 Tactica popular jrpg license returns to switch in tactical version for release on november 17, 2023
MythForce MythForce is a medieval fantasy first-person game available this year. We don’t have an exact date.
A Sweet Splatfest Based on the Splatoon universe, this multiplayer event will bring together fans of the license from July 14 to 16.
Detective Pikachu Returns Detective Pikachu Returns: Pikachu returns for new adventures and, above all, new investigations to solve. The game will be available on October 6.
Super Mario RPG Mario is back in a new 3D remake of Super Mario RPG, originally released on SNES. A mix of platforming and turn-based combat, this game promises a superb adventure. The game is scheduled for release on November 17, 2023.
Bonus surprise the princess Peach should have her own game but for the moment we don’t know more. Luigi Mansion Dark Moon from the 3DS should also have its own adaptation, but for the moment there’s no more info.
Batman Arkham Trilogy Batman comes to Switch to give a more adult tone to the conference. All 3 games in the series, plus all DLC, will be available in a special Switch edition: Batman Arkham Trilogy this autumn.
Gloomhaven Gloomhaven: is a tactical game inspired by the heroic fantasy card game. It will be available on September 18, 2023.
Just Dance 2024 Just Dance 2024 is coming to Switch with more than 40 new tracks and numerous (paid?) updates. The game is scheduled for release on October 24.
Silent Hope Here’s a Japanese action RPG with appealing SD characters and anime cutscenes. The game is scheduled for release on October 3, 2023.
Fae Farm This farming simulator-style game also invites you to play in co-op, furnishing your home and cultivating your fields while collecting resources.
Hot Weels Unleashed 2 Here’s a little racing game that will remind you strongly of Trackmania.
Manic Mechanics This little game invites you to repair a car within a time limit. Parts arrive on a conveyor belt, and you’ll have to manage the team alone or in co-op. Many traps await you.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope When Mario meets the Rabbids again. The sequel to the first episode with a new adventure. The demo is now available on the Nintendo eShop.
Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince Dragon Quest Monsters is back on Switch for fans of the license. The game will be released on December 1.
Pikmin 4 Pikmin 4 is now revealed in a gameplay video several minutes longer than the other titles. The game is scheduled for release on July 21, 2023, with a demo available on June 28. As a bonus, Nintendo is releasing digital versions of Pikmin 1 and 2 today for the Switch.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 Metal Gear Solid returns to Nintendo with a pack including MGS 1, MGS 2, MGS 3 and the beginning of the saga with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. You’ll also be able to enjoy the NES versions of Metal Gear and Snake’s Revenge. The whole set will be available on October 24, 2023.
Vampire Survivors With its old-school style, you’ll have to face hordes of enemies in a game that can be played both solo and with 4 players. The game will be available on August 17.
Headbangers Rhythm Royale Here’s a musical battle royale in which you play as pigeons, with the aim of surviving numerous mini-games (around twenty). The game is scheduled for release on October 31.
Penny’s Big Breakaway Here’s a 3D platformer that’s a cross between Sonic and Mario. The game will be available in early 2024.
Mario Kart 8 Booster Race Pass Wave 5 This is the DLC for Mario Kart 8, with a new race and new characters. Available this summer.
Star Ocean The second Story R The second episode of Star Ocean is on display in this remake, with revised 2D and 3D graphics. You can choose between 2 characters to experience the adventure from 2 points of view. The game will be available on November 2.
Wario Ware Move it! Wario mini-games are back with over 200 experiments. Available November 3.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder Finally, Nintendo presents the return of the king of platform games in a new 2D Mario adventure. No date yet announced for this new Super Mario Bros.
