Little info on the presentations, but some speculation
Unfortunately, Nintendo has not revealed any further information about the games to be presented at the conference. However, according to several trusted insiders, it is highly likely that the Japanese company will unveil a new 2D Mario game and why not a Mario Partyas well as adaptations of the old Mario and Donkey Kong classics. Persona 3 Reload should also show its face.
In addition, there are rumors of a remake of a Super Nintendo classicalthough details of the remake remain a mystery. According to Zippo, a less reliable insider, it would bea 2D-HD remake of Chrono Trigger, with the participation of all the original co-creators, namely Akira Toriyama, Yuji Hori and Hironobu Sakaguchi. If this announcement proves true, it would be considered a real surprise given Chrono Trigger’s enduring popularity over the decades.
Speaking of remakes, or rather remasters, the most enthusiastic are hoping for a adaptation of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes after the success of the first episode. FZero GX is also popular for an adaptation on the Switch, and some would also like to see a former Zelda ported to Switch.
All this is still rumor, and we’ll have definitive confirmation tomorrow.
