This feature allows players to modify the appearance of their Slayers. All skins are available immediately, even if not yet unlocked.
To celebrate the addition of the Cosplay function, the developers launched the Til’Dawn collectionfeaturing free skins for players.
To obtain these skins, players must reach the Cosplay unlock point. This takes place during the “Call in the Cavalry” mission, after the Slayer has spoken to Emma Jaunt. Then players can go back, open the storage locker and access their free skin in the Cosplay tab.
In addition to the free skins, the developers have added the following premium character packs for each Slayer:
- Silver Star Jacob
- Cyber Slayer Amy
- Gaelic Queen Dani
- Jungle Fantasy Ryan
- Steel Horse Carla
- Venice Vogue Bruno
Each pack includes a specific skin for the Killer and a weapon that can be used with any Killer.
Players who have purchased the Gold, Deluxe or HELL-A editions of Dead Island 2 can get the first two packs free of charge.
The Extension Pass holders (which includes the above-mentioned extensions) can also get the Gaelic Queen Dani pack.
Finally, by watching streamers play Dead Island 2 on Twitch for at least 20 minutes, players can get the Maulibu Panga Twitch drop machete.
Dead Island 2 was launched at the end of April after a long and tumultuous development process. The project went through two developer changes before finally being taken over by Deep Silver Dambuster, who delivered a solid game. To date, the game has sold over two million units, making it one of parent company Embracer Group’s biggest successes.
